Barachois Brook is a Canadian community in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It is on the western coast of the province, on Bay St. George, located 3 miles south of Stephenville Crossing.
The post office was established there in 1963. The first Postmaster was Churchill J. Messervey.
It has a population of roughly 400 people as of 2011
A Royal Canadian Mounted Police office is located in the community where police still use the facility for under the influence offenders in which they have overnight stays when the office in Stephenville, Newfoundland and Labrador has no room. There is also an airstrip in the community, which is no longer in use.
